The 3rd NoR HGT and LUCA meeting is on the 3-4 November 2016 at the Open University, UK.

How did life emerge on Earth? The aim of the Network of Researchers on Horizontal Gene Transfer and the Last Universal Cellular Ancestor (NoR HGT & LUCA) is to understand how the genetics of LUCAs were reorganised prior to the advent of the three domains of life.

This meeting will explore various aspects of the preLUCA, LUCA and virus connections via Horizontal Gene Transfer (HGT). Contributory oral presentations are invited from scientists wishing to partake in unlocking the mysteries that led to the emergence of the three domains of life.
